REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT DATE YOUR BESTFRIEND

Are you one of the people that can easily attached to someone?  And that someone is your best friend? Well, congratulations! My blog is made especially for you. I, myself also experienced falling in love with my best friend. It gives you the feeling that someone is always there for you in times of hardships, someone who’s willing to listen to your endless dramas, someone that tells you you’re beautiful even if your face is full of cheese from eating all of those nachos, someone who’ll make your mind go crazy and fills your stomach with butterflies. Indeed, the feeling is ecstatic, but this post is not about how you date someone, it’s all about the reasons why you should NOT date your best friend

FJ

1. First of all He/She is YOUR BEST FRIEND!

Dude, BEST FRIEND. It clearly states the label. Why should you go further wherein at the first place all you want from him/her is pure friendship. Sure you’ll reason out “We’ll get there” or “Time changes everything.” Well, I’m sure you might change your mind after this.

2. Maybe the feeling is NOT mutual

Before you date someone, make sure that the both of you are willing to take it a shot. Just because he/ she’s very sweet and caring to you doesn’t mean that he/she likes you. C’mon guys, let’s not get too attached to someone who’s unsure of you. Maybe he’s sweet and caring for you is because you’re his/her best friend, or maybe it’s his/her personality. Maybe you think that it’s special because he/she only does it you, but you’ll never see that he/she’s been doing it to other people as well!

3. Should I even tell you that the friendship will change??

Of course, so you didn’t do number 1 and 2 reason, but I’m sure that when you start dating, some things will definitely change. Like the way you two joke around each other then, but now one of you will get irritated when you try to tease them. Hearing the reasons “Hey, show some decency.” Look, if you’re going to date your best friend, be sure you’re ready to face a whole lot of change. Love can either change you for the good, or change you for the worst.

4. You’ll never see eye to eye once again

In case you two start dating, you’ll learn to treat each other properly, and not the fun kind of way. I once dated my best friend, I thought that our friendship will never change, but somehow when we first fought, we didn’t talked for DAYS! And after we made up, we never had that eye to eye again. Just because he/she is your best friend then, doesn’t mean he/she will be when you two go out.

5. In case you break-up, you lose someone very important, DOUBLE KILL

This is the most heart breaking part, if ever you two see your differences and know that it can never work out, you’ll lose your relationship and your friendship. You’ll never have someone to talk about how you feel ever again. Maybe not forever, but it’ll take a very long process and time. You won’t be able to talk to him/her the same way you did when you were still best friends.

Maybe you’re thinking twice about what you should do if you fell for your best friend, guys, it’s okay. You’ll grow further and be more mature. Maybe some things isn’t always the right time, but trust in His timing and He will never fail you. Just always be there for each other and you’ll soon realize that you’re ready to commit.
